Today at Plough, I’m glad to share my reflections on one of my favourite choral motets, Josef Rheinberger’s ‘Abendlied,’ and how it gives dimension to the resonances of Holy Saturday in our lives. ⁣

I love the Story of the Road to Emmaus, and how the brightness of Christ’s resurrection glory already accompanies the disciples in their journey on a pathway of sadness and uncertainty, even though it is hidden from their human eyes. ⁣

I hope it is an encouraging read for you today as you enter into the full mysteries of Holy Week ahead.
